My 2nd Novel: Hidden Secrets: Chapter 68

Hidden Secrets
Chapter 68

Watching the Grands playing on a summer day.
Yep, I do wear earrings almost all the time every day. And in a few minutes I'll be watching the grands. In the meantime I'll post as fast as I can.
But I'll be back.

Chapter 68

Matt listened to the voice mail from Jenn. He wanted to send an angry email to Mitchell and complain about the ladder and cameras at the Honeysuckle Pie Drive safe house. He wanted Kevin and everyone else in charge set straight. When dealing with Jenn Washington, they needed to remain on vigilant watch. She was smart. Observant. Practically had a photographic memory. He resisted the temptation. Hadn't he been the one who had screwed up last time she was in hiding? They'd remind him about it.
He turned to Monica. His wife was staring at a computer screen. "Tell me what you think," she said, turning it so he could see the image.
Matt studied the aerial photographs. "Bingo. It all adds up. The song lyrics. The code. Gonzales was right," he said.
"Let's call for back up."
Matt flipped his phone open. "What are we starting? A war between Mexico and the United States?"
"No. When we're done, it will look like two drug lords had a feud. See if you can get us a helicopter. I want to be in the air ASAP."

 Short chapters are great. Sometimes...
